Quick Tips for Good Family Dental Health

BASIC "BEST PRACTICES"
We love children and recommend you bring your child to the dentist as early as two-years old. This will enable us to do a simple visual exam and your child will become accustomed to and comfortable with the dentist in a non-threatening situation.
We also recommend that you instill good oral hygiene in your children at an early age. Brushing three-times each day and flossing before bedtime is critical for good dental health. Children can be independent and want to brush by themselves. That's ok. But, just be sure to double-check their work and even go over it with them if necessary.
BABY BOTTLE "BEST PRACTICES"
It is never a good idea to put your child to bed with a bottle unless it contains only water. Fruit juices (even the so-called natural or organic juices) or milk contain sugars which can destroy your child's teeth.
Ask your dentist if fluoride is appropriate for your child.
